I have seen many good deals on eBay a month before the convention. But I have been saving my limited amount of money for the convention. Even if I want the chip on Ebay I still want to save my CHIP money for something at the show. Part of the big deal for me is buying something on the convention floor and BSing with everyone. So I think eBay chip money tightens up a little before the show. If you are not saving for the convention then there is some great deals on eBay. Just my point of view.
