Although I love the Nugget's rooms, Darrell and I stayed there 2 years ago after the convention for 3 days. The pool is really nice - too bad there were so many "pool crashers" that we could not use the pool once in 3 days!!....couldn't find 2 chairs together and the chairs are 2 inches apart ( I don't even want to be that close to my own husband, let alone a stranger!).
In the evenings they run pool side parties and there were alot of drunken college kids....so we still couldn't use the pool.
If you're looking for relative quiet, I'd suggest the Orleans.
Although, you may still have some noise as people do bring kids to the Orleans on vacation...but you like to do "cannon balls" too, right Rick?
Good gambling and lots of food options at the Orleans too.
