, and I'm not sure they're all from the same trip...but I kinda' think they are. Thought a few of you might enjoy seeing some of them
We didn't used to stay downtown, at least not all the time. I'm pretty sure this one was taken out the window of a room at the Frontier. Not being interested in casino stuff at the time, I'm pretty sure I was taking a picture of the Fashion Show Mall 
! Now I'm more interested in the Sands that's visible in the background.
Looks like there was some construction going on in front of the Frontier (some things never change!)...but look at the Strip-NO TRAFFIC!!
If you look to the right you can see what used to be the Mint. Looks like the sign was coming down, you can still see the curve at what used to be the base of the sign. Now, of course, it's part of Binions.
More construction. According to TGT The Mint closed in 1989. If this picture is from the same trip, I'm thinking this is the Mirage, which opened in 1989.
