Actually, I read the board every morning over coffee… Humor of the Day is always FIRST. The Doghouse has been undergoing renovations… My air conditioner quit, next the projector bulb went out ($400, so I opted for a HD Projector), next my computer’s mother board fried… The new projector is using a 10 foot screen so I had to make room on one wall, next I had to make space on other walls, and so on and so on.. Basicly, MAJOR spring cleaning, rearranging and renovation. Also, with summer here I have been working on getting the pool ready and planting tomatoes and strawberries, among other things. I have been spending time at my neighbor’s house across the street, he is building a house (looks like a Holiday Inn it’s so big). My chips, money and slot cards have taken a back seat during all this. Oh, yea AND I am writing a book.

The big excitement over the alleged beating death of a black man by police in our small community that brought out the New Black Panthers (racial hate group) stirred up much tension. The New Black Panthers vowed to “Burn down Lumberton,” over it. This is like Mayberry, we are a quiet and peaceful little place. It turns out the autopsy revealed 9 drugs in the man’s system as well as lethal doses of PCP and indicated there was no evidence of being beaten to death, there were a half dozen scratches and scrapes of an inch or less (remember he was in a scuffle). The autopsy was done in another city in another county… the family is STILL saying he was beaten to death because he was black and the autopsy results are a cover-up. (He had many felonies, and a history of drugs along with racial and gang tattoos… A very fine fellow).

I still have currency… and NCR BankNote of the Day is not dead, just on hold.
