Myron Eichen was a major figure in Southern California venture capital circles. He was prominent in the founding of Broadcom, Brooktree and several other major successes in the high tech arena and, consequently, became very wealthy and a major philanthropist. Sadly he died in 2002 of an apparent suicide at the age of 72. I met Mr. Eichen several times. He always seemed a cheerful and modest person. Small world.
