Ernest Moody held a minority interest in a Colorado casino. He was forced to sell out his interest in the casino. With the money he had from his sale, he tried his luck at inventing table games, and demonstrating them at Gaming Industry conventions. None of his table games ever made it to market. He was running out of money quickly.

One night he had a dream of a Video Poker machine where you could play more than one hand at a time. He woke up in a cold sweat and wrote down his dream. Ernie refinded his idea and later licensed his idea with IGT and what we know of today as Triple Play Poker and all the games that follow later were the result of his dream. He is now a multi-millionaire, one of the few with a gaming invention.
