The Antique Boat Museum in Clayton, NY, tells me

(all in the letter; just a portion of it here)

... in 1936, a 97-foot yacht named "MARMOT" was built for Lammot duPont of Wilmington, DE. (your chips).

The second largest boat named "MARMOT" was a 46-foot and built in 1933 for Leroy Campbell of Washington, DC....

I believe my original letter also mentions another MARMOT, but it was smaller...

I had two BLUE and one WHITE. (Probably "over-runs" that were "handed out.") vbg
