Slot Machine Restoration
Here is a machine that I have owned for over 20 years and just never got around to finishing the restoration on it. Note the unusual $.25 and $.05 slots for coins. You could play either or both denominations for every spin. I still have not really finished it but figured that it was time to at least put it together. I finally got the metal rings that hold the horizontal and vertical glass last year. The cabinet restoration was done many years ago and I think came out really nice (better than the original contact paper "wood veneer" that the manufacturer put on it). I still have not rechromed the metal parts and the machine won't pay out for some reason. I can't figure out what is jammed in the mechanism despite looking at it for months. Does anyone know where to get help on restoring a machine like this? In any case enjoy the before, during and after pictures.
