Very enjoyable way to enhance the enjoyment of yuor collection Stan, that is, being able to put a town with your chips. I've been to most of these places and it's always worthwhile to poke around a little. Get some address from TCR so's you can try to locate the old places. Wendover, Mesquite, Winnemucca and Jackpot are all casino towns with several casinos each featuring table games. Wells has one table at the 4-Way. Elko should have a couple places but Battle Mountain and Carlin are dry holes but worth a tour anyway. Try the Hotel Nevada in Ely, table games in the basement. Last year, they had "new" chips, the $2.50 and $5 Pony Express Chipcos from 1993! Very quaint place and eat at the resturant, great meat an potatos food and the Lasagna will keep you on the road for a full shift before you get hungry again!
Can't recommend the Hotel Nevada for overnight anymore, noisy HVAC and obsolete plumbing. Mind your gas guage and keep in mind that most of the West is open range so you can expect to find the odd cow thingie standing in the road now and then.
My last few trips have found that a lot of the old joints are now slots only so kindly update us when you can. Still fun to grab coin buckets and matches though. Most of the smaller towns don't have slot club cards and requests for such will likely get you passed on to Homeland Security.
