older players cards... grin

This 24 Karat Club card is from the Golden Nugget. No player name on it, and the reverse is blank. I don't remember where we got it...but I'm pretty sure we didn't join the slot club. I do remember walking through the casino and seeing the machines with dozens and dozens of tickets spooling out of them grin

This Sands card is from 1991. I think that they signed us up for the cards one time when we were picking up a couple of the infamous Sands mugs grin ! I think this was a temporary card that would have been replaced with a 'real' card if we'd accrued enough points. The card is a little dinged up because it was glued into a collage sad . On the bright side, had it not been glued into the collage, it probably would have ended up in the trash, as we weren't collecting casino stuff then.

The Gaming Table lists the MGM Grand Theme Park as opening in 1993, so I'm guessing that this card dates to around that time. As I remember (Ralph, correct me if I'm way off base here grin ), there was a booth (maybe a slot booth, but it could have been at a change booth) that had baskets of these cards available for the customers. The customer could take a card, read the directions, earn the points and then go to the booth for a permanent card. I must have been starting to get the urge to collect, because we used to have a handful of these things vbg ! I think they've all been given away by now...if not, they're lost sad somewhere in a box of 'stuff'! grin
