... (Alonzo Burt) also made these solid ivory pool balls. He started the Portland Billiard Ball company in the mid-1890s and designed this stripe known as the Double Burt Stripe; one of the rarest styles ever made. These suckers are also hand engraved... as are the numerals you've seen on ivory/pearl chips. The stripe design (lower right) resembles a beachball stripe.

All have been sold to some of the World's most noted pool players and Ivory Pool Ball collectors (...and even a chipper or two ).
