Nevada Inlay Fractional of the Day

Heading south on the Vegas strip to the Showboat. Today's chip is a 3rd issue $.50 chip, N2151, released in 1965.

This one's a flashy little number. 1st off, a quarterpie in lilac purple and bubblegum pink with dancing small crowns. Inside the large scalloped white inlay, the centered Vegas sun broadcasts the denomination while the pink rays reach toward the scalloped points and the pink chip surface beyond. The text is nicely bold although it is too bad the 'cents' is allowed to drift down to encroach on the location. I understand this type of chip from this era was made with a multi-pass print process allowing the alignment to get off. I have other similar chips with inlay alignment variation.
