Fire is 2.4 miles away from mine but we have had high winds with gusts up to 55 mph. High wind warning until Friday. My house butts up to a alley way that leads to State Street (Our main drag) SO it was very easy at nightfall to sneak in and watch. I did get a shower and some sleep but my car is parked far away with all my chips in it and I think I may sleep in my car tonite, dont like the idea of looters hitting up that caddilac !! We are ok but 16-21 homes have burned nearby. Arnold The Govenator is arriving today (whoop de do !) If he brings more water fighting planes then I say "Come on down" They are fighting this fire fiercely and the wind is our biggest enemy right now. I will update if and when I can get back to the house. Fire appears to be further away from my house today after a night of water drops but the smoke is pretty thick.
