That's why when you spot c&s in your travels, give me a call (or email) before passing on them. Trading chips that you paid $3 for at some flea market is preferrable to paying for them from a collector that knows its value, I would think. Funny thing is, for years I only had a pink and then a black. Can't find any pinks or blacks today. Point is, when some show up there's very good chance that will be it for a LONG time before you find them again. The original population of these chips, most times, is insignificant when compared to a casino. Add in the age factor (82 years in this case) - presto -- an instant rarity.
OH yeah. I forgot. They are also the highest of quality chip ever produced. As Allan Myers states in his great article on c&s -- The Cadillac of chips (for you youngsters - a Cadillac is a euphemism for the best)
