Inter-mixed molds for The Orleans roulettes....

Several weeks ago the topic of house mold and "roulette" mold being used on various roulette chips at The Orleans came up. Specifically, it was noticed, as seen below, that at least one roulette table (gator w/trumpet) in one color (purple) was using a house mold chip while the TCR indicated the existence of a "roulette" mold chip only, for the whole table.

In a subsequent visit to the casino, I was able to make the following determinations about some on the current, in-play chips. Please note, unless you sit down to play roulette (which I really don't) and over time, buy-in for each of the available colors (which most of us leave to Barry H., Jerry Birl and Norm's crew) it is very, VERY hard to stand over player shoulders and look at chip molds.

White the accumulation of 'table jam' (dirt and gunk) will make the mold stand out for yellow and white chips, it is the purples, blues, greens and other dark colors that are next to impossible to see. So, as a partial report, this is what I saw at The Orleans...

The gator w/trombone table appears to have only "roulette" molded chips in-play, in all colors.

The gator w/trumpet table definately has mixed molds in-use for the white and green chips. I am fairly certain that the blue and pink colors are also mixed molds.

Based on this, I think I know where Barry and Jerry will be spending time during the Convention! vbg

Thanks for looking!

Jim
