... into doing anything they wish not to do, and the club has made it quite clear that by listing the names of those who do not object to their name being published is simply a sign of formal acknowledgement and gratitude. Truly, Jim, I do not see where this practice is in poor taste... especially when most of the model letters asking for contributions note that public recognition is in order.
I do not see anyone being hurt... and I certainly do not see a trace of anything being done in poor taste.
Whatever the outcome, though; listing or not listing the names of those who wish to join in by also asking fellow members to contribute, I hope the program is well received by our entire membership.
