After reading Doug's post [down the index] last evening, I've pulled out and reviewed dozens of fund raising and contribution letters that have crossed my desk in the past year or two... paying particular attention to those letters that I've received in the past two weeks... along with reviewing published model fund raising techniques. The different types are many, but all of them stress strongly in the appeal for support... especially those from fellow members of clubs, organizations and so on who share something mutually in common whether it be building and maintaining the organization/club from start... to those who simply express ideas to help better run a club and by participation in sharing whatever they feel is best... and though most ask for one to give as generously as possible, most also ask that the contributions be increased or match last contributions. Most also state that the names of those who contribute will be recognized by being published in a newsletter or on a plaque/notice.
I see nothing wrong in the way the CCGTCC made its request... In my opinion; it's as close to perfect as possible.
