By the way, another piece of info on South Point... those who have their laptops surgically-attached and can't travel without them will find they gan get both wifi and wired connections in the South Point rooms. Cost is $13 a day. I don't know whether the convention area will be a hot spot, but kind of doubt it as most hotels try to constrain their signal to guest rooms.
