Re: Thanks for the follow up Pam!!

Super! grin

Well, Curley's Place was still listed in the November 1945 phone book...but no Places for Larry or Moe sad vbg . I was hoping that Copenhagen Bear's or Curley's would have a display ad in the yellow pages, but no such luck sad .

By the way...since I had the 1945 phone book out, I looked for Copenhagen's...just for funsies vbg ...and found a listing for Copenhagen Bar at 2620 Prater way, phone 2672. Must have been under a different owner.

So then....justfortheheckofit...I pull out the 1939 phone book, and guess what???...

Nope...but you're close.....

O.K...here it is....

The Copenhagen Bar is listed at 2620 County Road, with the phone number Sparks-2672. Must have changed the name of the road somewhere between January 1939 and November 1945. Still no yellow pages ad that I can find, though.

Geeeeez-O-Peeeeets!!!! Just because the phone book was open to the C listings, I looked for Curley's in 1939...YEP! Curley's Place 710 B Street, phone Sparks-731.

I love the old phone books! grin
