My story on the subject
In Response To: Ethical Paradox ()

In 1996, a co-worker brought in a Red Garter Las Vegas $1 chip that had been in his drawer since he had played there one night over twenty years earlier. He offered it to me and asked me to set the price. TCR had it valued at $60. I called Janice O'Neal after looking her number up in the phone book. (I had only met her briefly before then). She said that if I could get it for $60 that would be a good price.

At the time, I had never paid more then $25 for a chip and the thought of spending $60 on one chip scared me. I took the chip back to the guy and told him that it was worth $60, but I could only afford $40 and so $40 was my offer. His jaw nearly hit the floor. He said he would have been happy with $20 - but he still took the $40! vbg He told everybody at work what a great guy I was for "over-paying" him for this chip that he had only paid a dollar for!

Today, the chip is worth about $500. vbg

I'm not sure what the moral of the story is?!?!?

My View
Tell seller the truth ask for a deal & sleep well
...and wake up the next morning to find it on eBay
My take....
My story on the subject
Reverse the situation...
Doing the right thing is not always
So I have a question.
The seller set the price...& you paid what she was
IMO the deal stands.
Another country heard from..
