Royal Resort Casino - located in the Marriott. Great. They are having a celebrity golf tournament on the island this upcoming weekend and a lot of athletes are here to play in it. Lawrence Taylor expected here on Saturday (so I will miss seeing him), but I had a beer next to Jim Kelly and a few other people I didn't recognize. Last night at the casino bar I went up to go to the bathroom, and when I got back why wife says "Look", and shows me she is wearing someone's World Series ring. (She had to give it back.)
On the roulette front, the casino switched to generic roulettes. However, I was playing "Let It Ride", and started talking to one of the casino bigshots. (I think he was on the floor because of the incoming celebrities.) I asked him what they did with the old roulette chips. I showed him my pictures from the caribbeanchipguide.com and he said "I think we have some of those in the back." He said he would see. He walked away and started checking all the tables, etc., - doing his job. I figured he forgot, and then he came up to me and said "Go to the cage - they have what you want". I went there and picked up three COMPLETE sets of the obsolete roulettes (lizard, pelican, monkey, and palm tree) in all seven colors. He apologized that he had to charge me $1 each for the chips due to the gambling regulations.
Royal St. Kitts - pretty sad. I was told the casino opened at 4pm, but when I went there, the entire place was closed (no slots, no tables). Was told the new hours were a 6pm opening. Took the family out to dinner and went back at about 9pm. No one playing slots, and just three employees standing around the one open BJ table. I played for a little bit, pocketed some chips and left. No $2.50s. They are CIC chips. (Dick B. - got you a $25.)
I will email the people who wanted chips from me when I get back to the US. Probably on Sunday.
