He was the legendary voice of the Philadelphia Phillies, and he also done NFL games the last number of years for Westwood One, and did the commercials for Campbell's Chunky Soup.

His was a voice you only needed to hear once. I have been a disc jockey off and on since 1987, and his voice was one of the five voices I've always wanted to have. Hearing a Phillies home run of "that ball is outta here" could make a man just want to play for the Phillies just so he could call your home run! He lived 73 long years.
