Those shipping charges are a good amount higher than most - but I would never question your right to ask that. To me, paying 1 cent for the chip and 10 bucks for shpping is every bit the same as paying 10 bucks for the chip and 1 cent for shipping.

As a seller, you have the right to ask for what you think is appropriate. As a buyer, I just need to understand it and factor it into my bidding. Thanks for the confirmation as it leaves no doubt for me.
