This is a fully attributed blue, harp mold chip, with gold hot stamp, and was shipped to D. L. Knowles c/o the Streamline Hotel on November 22, 1940. As you can see from the scan, the cross-hatching is in excellent condition.
The chip was manufactured in 3 colors: Pink (600), Yellow (300), and Blue (100). There were only 100 of this chip manufactured and only three of these blue chips are known to exist. The illegal gambling at the Streamline Hotel, and the chip, is mentioned in Mark Lighterman's Guide to Florida Gambling Establishments, but is not pictured. This is a recent find.
The Streamline Hotel still exists Daytona Beach. It has undergone remodeling, but still retains its famous Art Deco look.
