I quit on the way to the hospital for by-pass surgery. If the hospital would have been a block or two further I could have squeezed in one more! I left the hospital 9 days later and I went 1 day at a time, I told myself if I really can't go it I will go buy a pack. Everyday I expected to go buy a pack TOMMORROW; I have had 7 years of 'Tomorrows' so far. A friend told me that when I have a craving wait 20 minutes, then go buy a pack… funny thing, after 20 minutes the urge passed and I never remembered to go buy a pack.

I have COPD also, and done 3 back surgeries… we have a lot in common! Are you ugly too?

Keep it up it just gets easier every day. They still smell good to me after 7 years - and I must confess two diffent New Years partied I endulged and smoked a cigarette - Tasted great and got drunk as a skunk form just ONE. I also smoked a cuban cigar about every 3~4 months, but gave that up and gave my cubans to neighbor.

I may take up chasing cars with my dog....
