That version is the 1st issue from the Colorado Belle as a Circus - Circus Enterprises property. I do not know if it was ever re-ordered in that style (where the beginning and ending of "Colorado Belle" aligns under an insert) as all $1 chips in that style look the same. There was a re-order at some point in time (while still Circus - Circus) and that re-order was in the second style, where the "Colorado Belle" is halved by an insert.
After the corporate name change from Circus - Circus Enterprises to Mandalay Resorts there was a re-order of that second style. It differed from the others in that the CIC's were shiny, but this may have been a function of being new. As I mentioned previously, the re-order chips have been on the tables long enough that they are no longer shiny and look very much like the original second version order.
I'll also note that there is a formula difference in the plastic used for the 1st version chips and all the second version chips. The second version seems a bit harder and subject to breaking, especially in the poker room where the spring-loaded drop door sometimes closes too quickly and can catch a chip causing it to break. The 1st issue version appears to be a bit more flexible (a softer plastic).
Greg, to my knowledge, the error chip on the left (below) is Unique. Not sure if you want a better scan for your great Nevada Ones site, but if so, let me know and I'll re-scan it for you and submit it.
Thanks for looking!
Jim
