Does that mean that current demand has no effect on future demand? If a casino releases a chip in a quantity of 2000 and 1000 collectors keep one it must have some value but if only 100 collectors keep one does that mean it's not a valuable chip? If later on the casino destroys the other 1900, why wouldn't the value change? The chip suddenly went from R-1 to R-5 overnight. In the future, if other collectors decide they want one it could become quite scarce. I must be missing something.
