Newspapers are "just about" DEAD!!!
and I am sad to say that! I have always enjoyed reading the daily "fishwrap". However, with news instantly online, most news in the "newspaper" is old news! It wasn't a few years ago many newspaper writers laughed and frowned upon writers jumping to the internet to write online...well maybe the movers made the right decision..newspapers were slow to adapt to online ads and they have lost huge revenue sources from employment ads (monster.com, careerbuilder.com, dice.com, ladders.com, etc.,) goods for sale...can you say craigslist.com - it's free...and car ads are shrinking on a daily basis..with many retailers struggling, they advertise much less in newspapers...I'm not sure if the daily newspaper will be around much longer...oh and most newspaper sites are free to read...I saw a Denver newspaper and a Seattle paper quit printing recently...the days of newspapers are going way like receiving your slot payouts in real coins...
