Rich, I found an old button at an estate sale today. It's not exactly the same flag as you have on some of your old Crest & Seal chips, but it's by the same maker as the old Jockey chips. The Whitehead & Hoag button has the same Patent date, July, 21 1896, as your flag chips. The date is under the pin and very clear. I wonder if there are other Great Britain flag chips out there like this pin, and perhaps chips with flags from other countries?
