If anyone is looking for a car rental for the convention there is some great advice to be gleaned from Las Vegas Advisor forums. I usually rent from Alamo but their rates are out of this world right now.
It's probably best to go to the LVA forums (if you are a member) look under transportation and topic " Book Your Car Rental thru Delta Airlines website" You do not have to be flying Delta to use the site to book a car.
Before you book a car join the rental company's loyalty program (Avis Wizard, Alamo Quicksilver etc.) to make your trip to the rental car center painless. You bypass any lines this way.
If you don't belong to the Las Vegas Advisor I'd suggest you check it out. For a $37 online membership you get the coupon book. using only one or two coupons in Vegas (There's a $50 Palms one) will recoup your membership. And the info on the forums can be priceless. I saved $76 on my car rental by using their advice, and this wasn't the first time they saved me some bucks..

You can save more AFTER you book by going to the rental company's web site, in my case Avis, and modifying the reservation to add a coupon. I used an entertainment book coupon and got midsize car for 7 days for $128 and change, all in. I went for the bigger car because after the coupon it came out cheaper than an economy car.
