You will find the concensus on this bb is that 'rare' means that only very few of something actually exist. Has no relevance to how easy or hard it is to find something at any given point in time.
Im not commenting on auction starting or ending prices either. People pay what they want to pay, but that doesnt necessarily hold true if they have been misled.
