Re: Las Vegas Moose 1958
In Response To: Old Nevada (?) Arodie chips ()

I have been hunting down old Moose members since 2001 when I first got the chips.
Talked to several in 2001-02. They all said the place had BJ tables. A couple said the chips looked like the ones they used.

Just before my last cruise in February, I found one old timer that had some of the chips in a box in his basement. His were the ones you are showing plus a red one.

Loyal Order Of Moose had Slots in most of their lodges under a blanket license similar to a route operator would have.
In April 1958 they licensed the Lodge at 220 E Charleston as a stand alone license. It operated for roughly 1 year.
The arrowdies were distributed at Precision Inc.: 1956 thru 1958 on Oakey ave, a stones throw from the lodge.

I always felt the ID was a good one but never said anything until I found a Moose that worked there and actually had some of the chips.

I have several pages of notes if I can find them on this location.
Since some of the chips have a U or a V overstamped on them, I suspect an old Moose used them in a home game after the table was pulled but have no proof of that.

I have several of the chips for sale or trade.
