The Las Vegas/Clark County "Enterprise Library" will be hosting a free photo exhibit from June 2 - July 28, 2009.
This exhibit comes from the archives of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Bureau - the folks that took all the COOLEST Las Vegas photos from the meager beginnings of "Sin-City". Said a spokesman for the Bureau " The more drawers we open, the more we find..."

A photographic retrospect of classic and never-before-released images from the archives of the world famous Las Vegas News Bureau. The archives includes superstar entertainers and sports figures, world-class concerts and special events, and the ever evolving skyline. Classic images include "Miss Atomic Bomb", now a part of the Smithsonian Institution's collection, and the classic "Floating craps game" shot at the Sands in 1953. The Las Vegas News Bureau is an integral part of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority. For 60 years, the Las Vegas News Bureau has the sights and sounds of the world's leading destination like no one else, and has created the most comprehensive photographic and video collections showcasing the history of Las Vegas".
Many photos are slated for display, including one of President John F. Kennedy touring the Nevada (Atomic) Test Site.
There is also free internet at the library (if you need to check your home emails while at the convention).
The best part is the photo exhibit is FREE...
Library hours are... Mon - Thur: 9am - 9pm....Fri - Sun: 10am - 6 pm

Easy directions from the South Point Casino are: Leave the casino,and head North up Las Vegas Blvd (back towards the Strip). East Shelbourne Ave. is five blocks north on your right hand side....E. Shelbourne Ave. is between E. Wigwam (to the south) and E. Windmill Ln/Blue Diamond Rd (to the North).
Turn right (east) on E. Shelbourne and the library is immediately on your right hand side.
