It's a gamble
In Response To: Re: Maybe ()

So I lay down 5K on LVS and 5K on RIV. In 6-8 years, say RIV is 30. Good return - a few of those and I can retire early, but some secluded property, get some hookers and blow - whatever your deire. I like LVS and think he can tough it out.

Worst case, they 7-out and I am down 10K, some of which I can write off.

I'm gonna take the plunge on both, not all at once, but maybe 2K a month for 5 months.

Of course if we got enough buyers, we could take it over rofl I have no desire to be in the casino business. Way too much stress. Way too many scams, cheats, crooked politicians, flighty show girls, pampered entertainers . . .

IMO the strip acreage of RIV, in boom times as we have just seen, would put the share price way above $30 and close to double that.

I'll lay out the 10K and hope for the best before they go belly up. 10K won't break me, I'm alread down 400 large and I haven't lost a wink of sleep, so a 10K loss would hardly be a blip on the radar screen.

Bottom line, I have a home, a job, great family and while lots of cash is great, I don't measure my happiness in dollars and cents. Besides that, I'm approaching 50, have mellowed and if you never take chances in life, what the hell do you do for fun - ya know?
