Its not an odd demonimation for limit poker (such as 20-40, or 40-80) but it is an odd denomination for NL poker that is typically played with 1, 5, and 25 chips (or higher in the case of big money games). I think the reason that MGM might have removed it from play is that there is not a lot (if any) mid-limit Limit Holdem games they spread. Most of the games the last time I went was 1-2NL or 2-5NL.
