I understand that several cancellations were the result of the President saying that Las Vegas was no place for conventions for bankers and those in the financial industry. Now I don't remember the details, but one convention cancelled and had to pay a cancellation fee that was almost as much as the expense of the convention would have been. The convention was then rescheduled for someplace else...San Francisco I think...at a price that was higher than the cost of the original convention. "Politically correct" at what cost???
