Though I don't have the information you requested, I think the day of the token is pretty much gone.
Imho if we don't have at least 3-5 submissions for consideration, perhaps that particular award should even be abolished now.
There is nothing to be gained by awarding the honor of best token of the year by default.

In regards to Silver Strikes. There hasn't been a Silver Strike machine in Atlantic City for what seems like about 10 years now.
Some years ago when Todd Moyer was still with the Trump organization I had asked him to look into bringing them back.
If I recall correctly, he told me that Anchor Gaming which produced the machines was sold to IGT.
IGT was in the process of developing new machines and though I believe they were made, they never became popular.
Hence the machines never returned to A/C.
I'm not sure if they are still being made now or how many are still in use.

I think a governing factor today is the cost of silver bullion and associated costs in producing these strikes so most likely not even feasible to have them
Looking at candidates nominated this year thus far on the website (1) I question if this award is viable either.
