My Bayou Caddy Jubilee Story........
...I visited Bayou Caddy Jubilee for the first time in November of 1994. My wife, a friend of mine and I went to New Orleans for a Conference. We checked into the hotel near the French Quarter around 2:00 pm. I had rented a car and said lets go get some shrimp and visit a couple of casinos. We left New Orleans and headed fro the Gulf Coast of Mississippi. We got our shrimp dinner and we started hitting casinos. After going to all the casinos in Biloxi and Gulfport, at about 4:00 am we arrived at the Jubilee Casino. My wife was asleep in the back set so my friend Eric and I went into the casino. The roulette tables were closed - they had the neat looking Alligator and Crayfish design chips but I didn't get a chance to harvest any of them. As we roamed around the casino, we saw a sign for an all night breakfast buffet. My friend and I took our time and ate almost every dish they had in the place. After about an hour in the casino we went back to the car to drive back to New Orleans. My wife was awake when we got to the car and she was not at all happy that we had eaten the breakfast buffet without coming to get her. We drove for miles down the long deserted road until we made it back to Bay St. Louis and Highway 90. We arrived back in New Orleans about 6:00 am. What a trip - we were gone for about 14 hours and had visited about a dozen casinos. I think it was about 2 days later before my wife got over leaving her in the car while we ate the breakfast buffet. Every once in a while we will think back to that night and have a good laugh. This is just another one of my many, many memorable chip adventures that I have had since I started collecting chips in 1992. What a great hobby !!!!!
Take care,
Jerry
