Hello Jovito, no it was not for the Chinese New Year. In Salt Lake City they have a large community of Asians. Each year they hold a Festival celebrating the Asian American groups. The Stateline and SilverSmith would support the celebration and had chips made. But of course with them being gone they don't do that any more in Wendover. The celebrations still take place in Salt Lake. Hope that helps. When the Stateline and SilverSmith closed alot of the chips were distroyed.
