Casino Matchcover of the day or of the evening!!

Where the hell is Whitney, NV? You have probably been there and you did't even know it!! Whitney, at one time, had its own identity, one of a few small communities between Las Vegas and Henderson along Boulder Highway (which was US 93 and US 95 at the time). Into the late 1980s, Whitney Elementary School had just two classes.

In the early 1990s, the outward growth of development in Las Vegas and Henderson, as well as the construction of the Interstate 515 bypass of Whitney, had a negative impact on businesses in the area. It wasn't until the early 2000s that business began to recover. The area has seen several new housing developments in vacant land.

It is home to UNLV's Sam Boyd Stadium.
It was also home to Johnny Duncan's Whitney bar from 1951-1959, a great picture of the place is found on Marks ashtray site.
