The People's Republic of Bulgaria is a Balkan country located on the Black Sea the size of Tennessee in south Eastern Europe. Bulgaria shares borders with Serbia, Macedonia, Romania, Greece, and Turkey. The Maritsa is Bulgaria's principal river, and the Danube also flows through the country. ENJOY!!

Issued by the Union of Hunters and Anglers to celebrate the VII European Championship for freshwater fishing in Plovdiv, Bulgaria in June 2001.

The Carp is printed on Fabriano security paper and it has the most common security features, including fluorescent fibers, invisible fluorescent ink, watermark, hologram and serial number as well as micro print. This is a souvenir note and only 5,000 were printed.
