The Republic of Zimbabwe (formerly Southern Rhodesia, the Republic of Rhodesia and Zimbabwe Rhodesia) a landlocked country in south-central Africa, is slightly smaller than California. It is bordered by Botswana on the west, Zambia on the north, Mozambique on the east, and South Africa on the south. ENJOY!!

Today's selection is the 2009 issue of 100 Trillion Zimbabwe Dollars printed by Giesecke & Devrient (G&D). These are too new to be listed in references and too volatile to be listed accurately on the FOREX.
These were issued at a value of $300 each. At the time of this post they are down around $10 each due to the rampant hyper-inflation. Surprisingly these are very nice looking and well printed notes, the AGRO notes issued in 2008 were probably the worst.

This is a picture I posted a year or so ago, I ran across it again and thought I would post it. The caption says it all.
The Balancing Rocks are a geological formation found in the township of Epworth, southeast of Harare, the capital of Zimbabwe. It is a formation of rocks perfectly balanced without other supports.
