Re: I dont know if its illegal to show

You are allowed to print single sided color prints that have been enlarged or reduced to a specified min/max for educational and other purposes. Two sided black and white have a size limitation as well. The Legal Tender clause, if left on in certain instances makes them cough up a hairball too. The scanned images are not the problem, someone PRINTING those images ARE. So they do not warm up well to high resolution scans posted publicly. Today's note was scanned at the highest resolution I am comfortable with (posting). The Secret Service has paid visits to collectors I know who have/had HIGH RESOLUTION scans posted. They now have LOW Resolution scans, had they not complied willingly I have no doubt it would have been a huge issue. SO as a warning: DO NOT PRINT "The BankNote of the Day" and adjust the note size to make it look real...... as I have said before the Treasury takes ALL counterfeiting seriously.

So a blanket statement being "You can not print copies of US Currency" is false. Also, the government enforces counterfeiting of OTHER countries currencies as well. I bet that last tid-bit is a surprise to many! vbg
