The morons are the people I heard debating this at a coin shop last week. It went like this:
"Do you have the District of Columbia quarter?"
"Yes, right here"
"Who is this? - oh, Duke Ellington. Why is he here?"
"I'm not sure. I heard he was born in Washington, D.C."
"But that's not the same as the District of Columbia"
"No, it's not. I'm not sure why he's on there if he was born in Washington, D.C."
