Prior to me owning a computer, as Editor, I used to print out the original newsletter pages on my Magnavox Word Processor ("Maggie", as I referred to her) and physically cut and paste any illustrations with scissors and a glue stick and then took the original pasted-up pages to Staples to run off copies on their b/w Xerox copy machine. It wasn't until later on that I engaged the services of a local commericial printer in Barnegat, NJ to print the club magazine on a off-set printing press and he also colated and stapled the magazine in the middle. The only color in these earlier magazines was the two color covers (green & black). It wasn't until Kregg Herz took over as Editor that the club covers went to full color and then Allan Anderson took it to a whole new level with the newstand quality paper and new color format throughout.
BTW: That printer in Barnegat, NJ was subsequently charged and convicted of counterfeiting and went to jail after his printing plates were found buried in his back yard! (True story)
The club has come a long way!
