I went to the only decent antique show here in Nashville this weekend. I paid $12 to get in (just couldn't see spending $25 on the early entry), spent $11 on a sausage and beer for lunch and the only thing I found was a very small old punchboard for $5! At least the beer was good. And as I was drinking it a chatty lady sat down at the community table. After brief introductions (we were all originally from the midwest) I mentioned collecting chips. The lady said that she had some chips from a huge estate that she has been working on for over a year. She said that she just sold 2 each $1 and $5 Silver Slipper chips on Ebay for over $4000. Then she told me how surprised she was at how much they went for and that she probably would have been happy to sell them outright for $25-35 each. GEEEEEZ! Terrible timing
