I have been hearing that because of the economy it's a renter's market. The renters are negotiating lower rent, as well as more perks and the owners are having to go along with it since less rent beats NO rent. The down side is that even with these better deals for the renters there is still such a slow down that many are expected to belly-up anyway. Retail is taking a hard hit starting with the lack luster Christmas was just had.
