This is an obsolete chip from the Dutch Island of Curacao. According to the Caribbean Chip Guide the Concorde Casino was open from 1975 - 1980. You often see the $5 and $25 chip from this casino for very cheap prices and the $5 usually has some wear. The $1 chip pictured below is much harder to find - not RARE, but probably in the "Hard To Find" category. This is true with a couple other Dutch Caribbean casinos and I often wonder if the $1 chips were destroyed and the rest of the chips were spared. But why? Makes no sense to me. I don't keep written records, but I'm quite sure I found this on ebay several years ago in pristine condition. I was not on the island when the Concorde was open so I can't say much about what it was like.
