I stopped at the Gold Spike downtown today to check it out. It is alot cleaner than before, there looks to be to be two blackjack and one roulette table. My first big cashout was 10 cents, they don't have TITO yet so every cashout is a handpay. I did not realize that until after I hit the cashout. Did get a few chips but they are very tight on selling too many at one time. I did eat Steak and Eggs at the Golden Grille for 8.99. Not a bad steak at all. The place had a few people at the bar but in the casino it was very dead, in fact I think there was me and maybe one other person. The waiter told me they are cutting hours because of the lack of business. Overall I was pleased and hope they can make it and expand with the hotel next door that they also have.
