As much as I hate to, I have to agree with what you have said. Revel will come to completion but I feel its only because they have come too far to turn back. You can bet that every other casino developer is sitting back waiting to see what happens.

All the reasons have been discussed before, but I think that with outside gambling competition from N.Y and Pa,these are the biggest factors. Blame whatever you wish but that took a huge slice of the pie off the table.

Las Vegas learned long ago that you can no longer operate a casino strictly on the merits of gambling and hence the largest amount of income there is now derived from non gaming revenue.
Atlantic City needs to be more recognized as a destination resort and with things like the walk etc is heading in the right direction.
I don't know what the statistics are but I would bet most of the income is still derived from day trippers.
